It might sound cliché, but the dream of creating our sustainable styles began in the year 2000, out of the back of a small VW van, with just a few rolls of fabric and a sewing machine. We relied almost entirely on the kindness of our friends, who would let us use their living rooms as sewing studios, and encumber their bathrooms with dye baths. Gotta love your own tribe.
Through our nomadic lifestyle, we grew to appreciate living sustainably, in harmony with our community and our surroundings. It only made sense to find and use fabrics that fit this mandate. Consumerism is all about the power of choice. Why did we make this looser strappy tank out of organic cotton and bamboo?
Cause we love the earth, and we don’t want to muck her up just because we also like clothing. Seriously, fashion is one of the dirtiest industries, and we just don’t want to contribute. Since our inception we have continued to explore and experiment with sustainable fabrics like Hemp, Organic Cotton, Bamboo, and Soy (among others).
