About Nomads
Nomads: Tribes of people who live in harmony with the seasons. The oldest method of human existence. People who travel to follow the generous gifts of the earth, rather than tailoring the earth to their needs.
It might sound cliché, but the dream of creating our sustainable styles began in the year 2000, out of the back of a small VW van, with just a few rolls of fabric and a sewing machine. We relied almost entirely on the kindness of our friends, who would let us use their living rooms as sewing studios, and encumber their bathrooms with dye baths. Gotta love your own tribe.
Through our nomadic lifestyle, we grew to appreciate living sustainably, in harmony with our community and our surroundings. It only made sense to find and use fabrics that fit this mandate. Consumerism is all about the power of choice. Choose the planet with clothing that’s like a rock anthem of Earth-love: bamboo leggings that could shake you all night long, and hemp hoodies that make you want to give us all your lovin’ (all your hugs and kisses too). Fashion forward eco style for an organic future friendly life.
Product Information
It’s back to the future with Nomad's latest redesign of a classic Nomads look. Short attached skirt is asymmetrical and slightly higher on one side, we added back pockets specifically for a phone (by request) to free up your hands for dancing. Matching tabs on the legs and hip, front pocket is for show (but never tell). Dance through the gutter, and reach for the stars…
What Nomad's says…
The new version of the Sakura Leggings, our all time best-seller, with a new asymmetrical hem and steam punk style. The skirt in the back is shorter on one side showing a little cheek (we like things that are cheeky.
Why did Nomad's make these steam punk leggings out of organic cotton and bamboo?
Cause we love the earth, and we don’t want to muck her up just because we also like clothing. Seriously, fashion is one of the dirtiest industries, and we just don’t want to contribute. Since our inception we have continued to explore and experiment with sustainable fabrics like Hemp, Organic Cotton, Bamboo, and Soy (among others). All Nomads Hemp Wear clothing is also certified Fair Trade.
